i couldnt take prenatals at all with any of my 3 kids. they made me sick worse than just being pregnant! and as far as not eating, as long as you are drinking and eating some you should be fine. Try drinking broth or eating yogurt. those should help ya. congrats on the pregnancy!

The big worry there is malnutrition or IUGR. Basically meaning you could carry this baby to term and have a 4 pounder. If you just can't seem to eat try some nutritionous shakes, NOT diet shakes! Ask your doctor about possibly adding some zinc vitamins, they have been shown to help underweight women deliver healthy babies. Look at eating like a chore if you have to, you might not want to but you must force this food down. Put your ultrasound pic on the fridge as a little reminder that you must eat. Good luck.

Most times if the stomach does not have enough food, the prenatal vitamins will make you sick. Make sure you have a decent amount of food and drink milk to coat the stomach before taking them.
If it doesn't help after a few days see your doctor about it (I'm sure your fine as long as your not losing a lot of weight). If anything you may just have morning sickness (yes you can get them anytime) or a touch of the flu. Drink plenty of fluids and eat as much as your body will allow.

No the baby should be Okay for now, but you should talk to your DR about it. Also ask about switching Prenatal vitamins. I had the same problem I couldn't eat, and when i switched I felt great a few days later.

No. You will suffer long before your baby does, so whatever you manage to eat, your baby will get the nutrients instead of you.

You won't kill your baby by having a lack of appetite for a few days.

Stay hydrated though- that's more important!

As long as some food gets into you, it's fine. You will soon recover and your appetite will follow. However, please bear in mind that you have to take sufficient fluids, minimum 8 glasses a day or 2 litres. It can be soup, water, juices, milk etc. This is very important cos pregnant mothers have to stay hydrated. Meanwhile, take good care.

No, it will not kill the unborn baby.....your baby will feed off of your fat reserves and it will get nutrients from the prenatals. As long as you're getting something in your system everyday, you should be fine. And don't worry, your appetite will return REAL soon!! I went through the same thing.

No but it could be unhealthy for the baby. It's good that you are taking your prenatals so that you can get the necessary nutrients that you need. Try a different diet. Consult with your doctor

its not gonna kill the baby, i was sick the whole 9 months and my baby was fine. Talk to your doctor about it, i was losing to much weight and had to be put on medication to stop the sickness so i could keep food down.

No, not eating for a day or so won't hurt the baby but just be sure to keep taking the vits and try to find something you can keep down--even if it's just crackers or juice.
