I am not sure exactly what you are looking for. My son was born at the same hospital shortly before these overdoses. My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about the hospital and the staff. From everything I have heard this was a tragic mistake. Apparently the packaging for infant and adult dosages or blood-thinning medication are very similar.

This is a terrible tragedy of course. I do not blame anyone.

It's tragic. I just don't see how they could of made such a lethal mistake. Don't they read what they administer to anyone? I am sure that everyone feels terrible. But for it to happen even before this incident, wouldn't it make one question what was going on in the pharmacist mind when he/she was restocking the shelves or putting it away? I think that they went to easy on everyone, and the person who put the stuff there should be investigated, to see if he was not doing his job properly. When working around meds it would seem to me that you should be sharp as a tack etc.

My husband is in nursing school right now. They are trained to be extremely cautious with medications. They have to check and double-check everything they do. The mistake shouldn't have been made.

My heart goes out to the families - especially since this had happened before. I'm rarely inclined to tell someone to sue, but in this case I think I would.
