Sorry to sound so skeptical, but I am a Magician (I'm no David Blane but I'm good) and I have seen other magicians (or been able to do myself) every "spell" ( or trick) ever offered up by anyone who claimed to be a witch, mind reader or such.

Now I'm not saying that magic isn't real

But doesn't it make sense that all the history we have of "magic" could just be trickery and sleight of hand.

As I started out saying If there is someone who can preform REAL "magic" it should be very easy to prove

Let the world see your true power

or

Be exposed for the fraud you really are!

Thanks to all the Witches (the real ones) for giving me a bit of incite. I now see that TRUE witches don't claim to do spells or magic, but it is more a form of religion (which I can respect)

However,
The rest of you nut jobs had some really stupid comments!
The most Common thing said by a fraud
"I don't show off my ability!"

And as for the people who claim my magic is nothing like REAL magic, It's all in the presentation
I have done "readings" and convinced people I could talk to the dead or read their mind

Yes, Chris Angel and David Blane are ONLY magicians
Neither one does any trick that is exclusive to him
And there not even the best in the world (just the most public)

There's a difference between "magic" and witchcraft.

Some witch's out there are really just herbalists, or kitchen witches, because they know what herbs can do, and they make things out of them. Soaps, creams, tonics, etc.

No magic, just knowledge.

Other's, like myself, practice as part of a religion. Magick in that form is really more like prayer than anything else.

You are a magician. I am of the Lore. You truly believe in the tricks of magic. I truly believe in the reality of Magick. You want proof. Why? You will not believe anyway.
Much of Magick is knowledge of nature and outcomes. You war against flash bangs while I help a bird protect its eggs. You saw people in half, while I give them an oil and some words that sooth and bring happiness. You offer entertainment. I offer help and protection.

The world looks out at "true power," every day, but it is subtle and the world ignores the subtle.

Children speak of dragons rising from the earth. The Lore speaks of worms to aerate and fertilize the earth.

Magicians are self-confessed frauds. Those of the Lore use the truths of Magick. Magicians put on an act. Those of the Lore act to help the needy and the Earth.

Child, go back to toy tricks, you would not have the patience to study any part of the Lore.

You have the wrong idea of "magic." Real magic takes time. The stuff that the stage magician uses is an illusion. There is a website that shows how to do the David Blane levation which takes balance, and angle, but i forgot the sight.
Witches are not the only one that do magic, christians practice magic they gest have no clue that they do it in there healing, prayers, exroism, cermonies etc...

How dare u question my magic & call me a fraud!!
You want to see magic, well try this. Mix these in a cauldron & see what happens.
The eye of a newt, and the tongue of a dog, the leg of a lizard, and the wing of the night-owl, the scale of a dragon, the tooth of a wolf, the maw of the ravenous salt-sea shark, the mummy of a witch, the root of the poisonous hemlock (this to have effect must be dug in the dark), the gall of a goat, and the liver of a Jew, with slips of the yew tree that roots itself in graves, and the finger of a skeleton: all these must set on to boil in a great kettle, or cauldron, which, as fast as it grow too hot, must be cooled with a baboon's blood: to these pour in the blood of a sow that had eaten her young, and then throw into the flame the grease that had sweaten from a murderer's gibbet.
Er...dont ask me what a gibbet is. You should know.

Do have any idea what what happen to a warlock if he used his or her powers in the public veiw, the government would take them from there homes and cut them open to see what makes them tick, its the same thing woth mind readers, the government would find some way to turn them into a wepon. The trick with real magic is to be very suddle, so people do not think you are god. For example if i went out into a street and shot a lighting bolt out of my as,s people would think i was god once i proved to them i could do it. Then after that specail forces teams would break down my door and i would end up in area 51 hooked up to a UFO or a computer or somthing.

All supernatural is just plain superstition. Magic is trickery. "Spells" work only if the person receiving the spell believes it's true.
Any of you spell-casters or witches are free to cast all kinds of spells on me. That's a dare.
If any of you see any of my answers after today, you can believe that all witches are fakes.
Come on, Witches stop me from answering these Yahoo questions.

Take a look at my website http://www.geocities.com/huna101

You could also read "The Secret Science Behind Miracles" by Max Freedom Long. That book has about 30 documented reports of magic at work.

The Difference between street magicians and Pagans.....Street Magicians are ILLUSIONIST! the magick that we perform..is a ritual..We don't put a cloth over our hand and a dove appears and we say abra cadabra and it turns into a gold coin....and then we close our hands over it and it disappears...it doesn't work like that. The spells that we perform take time..and the affects are gradual..Do a little research..we aren't movie witches..with lightening bolts coming out of our fingers..why don't you put a table cloth over your head and disappear?

real 'witches' are actually just practitioners of an ancient religion.

there is no such thing as a witch creating magic - that's the stuff of the preposterous witch persecutions of the past.

but i think you should also ask those who pray to god hoping for a miracle why they do what they do - because they too are hoping for magic on their behalf.
