Mostly cause it gets very hot in summer time and it can itch quite a bit. Imagine wearing spandex all the time. Also pantyhose is associated with work a lot of the times....so just as you would not want to wear your tie during your off shift some girls would not want to wear pantyhose.
However.... Personally I wear it all the time. I love the feel of it (when it doesn't itch) I like the garter stockings because they are very sexy and right now I am wearing a pair with a skirt yes. I also love to wear white pantyhose with my dancing leotards. Again makes me feel sexy and I had more then one sensual encounter with them lol.

I love pantyhose. In most professional offices, they are a requirement. I love pantyhose because I can wear skirts without having to shave my legs all the time. Yeah, sounds gross, so what? If I decide at the last minute to wear a skirt instead of pants, I may not have time to shave. So, I just throw on the hose.

OK, you must be a man. Pantyhose are a pain to put on. You cant just slip your foot in and pull them up like socks. They sag in the crotch if you have any height on you at all. It doesn't necessarily give you an excuse to not shave, because I have seen some women's hairy legs shining through the pantyhose - it doesn't exactly "hide" the unshaven leg. Not to mention the "runs" that seem to occur no matter how careful you are. I'm usually lucky if I can get a second wear out of a pair, which means cost is another irritant. Plus, I just don't like being told I have to wear them!!

It is a professional thing. They are required where I work. And I dont think I would do anything professional without wearing them.
But it isnt a style for casual wear.

i like my legs to breathe and panty hose dont do that. they itch like crap and personally they dont look all that cute on me....and not many other people that ive seen, at least not as a fashion statement. Wear em at church.

It is seriously because they are VERY uncomfortable...they itch and are really clingly and slippery. I feel like an old grandma if i ever have to wear them.
