The need a QB. Pennington is a bum. (Im sorry but he is) What they have to do is go after Michael Turner. Then they don't have to waste a draft pick.

depends who's available. (crappy answer, I know, but seriously...)
It looks like they draft 25th. They're not going to get a top QB or RB at 25 unless they're scouts are really excited about an underrated prospect. On the other hand, there will be a lot of potential superstars available at other positions.
The short answer is probably neither.

With the seventeenth p.c.. interior the 2009 NFL Draft the long island Jets opt for WR Percy Harvin of Florida reason: They gave up Coles and Jerricho Cotchery won't be able to get it finished with Chansi Stuckey. Harvin additionally has speed it rather is powerful

Pennington's staying.
They have a pretty good RB mix in the backfield.
I'd say, if you're looking to draft on offense, go for a WR or TE to open up Pennington's options (I like the three they have now, but a 4th WR or a good TE could seal the deal on offense).
I think they should improve their defense this year. Offense was pretty solid this past year, so improving on defense can't hurt.

Wide Receiver or Linebacker/Defensive End
They can wait until 2nd or 3rd round for a running back
They dont need a quarterback, they have chad pennington and they drafted Kellen Clemens last year

A runningback. Chad Pennington had a decent year in 06 and they drafted Kellen Clemens last year who they really like. If Adrian Peterson, Marshawn Lynch or Michael Bush are available, they should jump on them.

very simple as a jets fan i say the jets need neither because they had just drafted Clemens and Washington and should go after a defensive end, but if i where to pick one i say a running back that can pound the opponents senseless

They need a Cornerback. QB, what the **** r u talking about. Leon Washington and Cedric Houston aren't bad RB's. They need a shutdown corner, not another mediocre running back.

RB seems to be the best option because they really don't have a dominating back in their backfield.
