I sent a pagemaker file to a friend and she said that she can't open it because I sent it as a pmd file and she wants me to rather send it as a pdf. The thing is that if I export the file as an adobe pdf, it asks me to install postscripts to the driver. So how do I send the file as pdf or how do I install postscripts?

I use something called cutePDF. It makes reasonably sized pdfs, it's free, and it's, um, cute. :)

Google it, install it, and just print to it. It'll be a new printer in pagemaker. Tell it where to save it and you'll be set.
