I have gotten the Goron at the West (Wii)/ East (GC) gate back to selling hotsprings water, but I can't seem to get the goron at the south gate to drink it. I've tried Z targeting him, standing right in front of him, everything I can think of. Please help! Is there something else I need to do?

Buy the hot springwater and then go talk to the goron in the south. He'll start talking, and then say something like "I smell hot springwater! can I have some?" and then give it to him, and he'll start breaking down the rocks. You don't have to set it to B to give it to him, just talk to him

It seems to me that you might be waiting too long to take him the water. After a few seconds it gets too cold and it won't work. Go refill your bottle and head directly to the south gate to give it the goron.

Set your bottle to B and walk up. There should be a pop-up at the bottom of the screen that says "Present/Show B" or something like that, like the message that pops up when you can finish an enemy.

If I remember correctly, you set the water to B and then push B when you walk up to him. This is the same process you use when presenting a letter.
