Unions are for people who want to ensure they are paid what the job is worth, rather then the wage that an oversupply of labor in combination with greedy business owners have driven it down to in the free market.

It has nothing to do with their skills. In fact, many unions require their members to have a high level of knowledge in their trade, and some even require ongoing training and certifications.

All countries would be much better off if ALL workers were unionized.

I totally disagree. Being in a union, you must have the skills to do the job or you wouldnt be in the union to begin with. bettyk

Though in the US at least unions are no longer needed.
