Welcome to the USA. There are a lot of help here. America just loves to help people. You can get a co-op job on the campus you'll be attending, you can look for a part-time job that works around your school schedule. A lot of restaurants will work around college students schedule and are very supportive. If you do decide to work for a restaurant make sure it's a nice one that cares about their employees.
I found these websites. They are loaded with free information.
I wish you the best in your endeavors.

There are a few options for undergraduate international students:
1. Apply for scholarships. See http://www.macquil.com/scholarships.php
2. Apply for all the scholarships available at the university of your choice.
3. Once you start school, apply for an on-campus job. These will usually pay you minimum wage, so don't depend on them for paying your tuition.
4. Apply for internships and co-op programs. To be eligible for an internship as an international student, you will need to wait 9 months from your date of arrival to the USA. Note that many internships also pay minimum wage or nothing at all, but they provide you with good experience. See this page for more information: http://www.macquil.com/articles/internships.php
5. Apply to Berea College in Kentucky. This college offers full scholarships to outstanding international students.
6. Find financial assistance, grants, loans, or scholarships from your government, your country's financial institutions, parents, family members, and friends.
Good Luck!

most of the time the school gives international students scholerships but I would suggest getting a job. My school requires that students do a co-op and that has helped a lot but if all else fails, get a student loan from a bank and tough it out. Just dont give up and make sure you graduate or it will all be for nothing.

Help a International Student SHOULD get? I hope none. US financial aid should go to US students.
You aren't allowed to work so bring $$$$ with you.

You can work on a student visa, previous posters are wrong.
However, you can only work for the university. That can be working at the university coffee shop for 6.00/hr or similar.
It obviously won't pay much but its something, its legal and they will work around your class schedule.
