I can understand why shame would come into play. Working at a Flea Market isn't really a "career" per se. Also, the word Flea Market isn't very helpful.

Although, you ARE making a good amount of money. You're only working one day as other saps work 5 to 7 days. If you see people shopping there who you don't want to see you, don't worry about it. Just think they're obviously shopping at the Flea Market because they're not making anything like the money I make.

Lastly, tell your girl. If she has a problem you'll learn something very important that you'll need to know if you intend on having a serious relationship with her. Good luck.

There is nothing wrong with working at a flea market. after i got married and had 2 kids that is where i worked with my husband, we met a lot of very nice people and made good money. I f people don't like you for that it is their problem not yours You sound like a good person who loves their mother and would work with her.if you were my son i would be very proud of you.Good luck to you and your mom.

You work for a living, you don't beg or steal. Hold your head high and be proud. Also you can always use the word Vendor as this is what you do.

We live in a society where too many people base self worth on job title. Don't let that affect you!

If it pays the bills and you are comfortable in your position, dont worry-- about what others think. Some of the most influential people have worked places they wish to forget.

You should never follow the word "working" with "shamefull". There is nothing shamefull with what you do if your working. Its those lazy pos's on welfare that should be shamefull
