Have you ever wondered what would a novel character look like if she/he ever lived? And which character would you want to see the most in front of you?

In a really good novel, you can picture the character pretty clearly. This comes about because the author could and takes the time to include that description for the reader.

There are far too many interesting characters to meet. Since I cannot choose from all those created by other authors, I would have to choose one of my own.

The character I would like most to meet is York. He's the patriarch of a very wealthy merchant family and a former guardsman. He has two wives, not one, who have enhanced his reputation by standing solidly behind him. Holder of the King's Star, one of the Queen's most trusted supporters, and a leading member of Gardon's merchants council, Lord York is a man anyone would like to call friend.

Well, like all the others, I ususally have a pretty good pic in my head of what the character looks like. Of course it would be extreamly cool if someone from a book came to life.
For one, if it is a hero of a story. Me being a hopelessly romantice young woman, imagine him to be everything I ever wnated in a man and I have literally read his thoughts! So that always makes a nice little afternoon daydream.
The top male character I would like to meet (and marry! lol) would be Pelleas from this novel about Arthurian Legend called In the Shadow of the Oak King. In the book he is Arthur's half brother and way cooler than Arthur could ever be.
Also, a lot of girls my age that I meet irritate me in some way or another. So it would be really cool to meet a down to earth, sensible yet spirited girl like Jane Eyre or Elizabeth Bennett from Pride and prejudice. We would be instant best friends.
But alas, I'm not delusional, at the end of the day. They are only printed words on paper.

I can't read a book without picturing what the characters look like because then I have no picture in my head of what's going on. I think that the character I'd like to see in person would be Edmond Dantes from The Count of Monte Cristo. I don't think he looks at all like the movie portrayal of Robert Donat in the 1934 film. I also don't think he looks like the man who played him in the newer film. I still have my own picture of him and I would love to see him in real life :o)

Yeah, most characters that are well written are really easy to visualize, so in a sense I feel that I know what they look like already. But I wouldn't mind seeing Soames Forsyte from the Forsyte Saga in person.
