It could anywhere from hours to weeks. This is not particularly encouraging, but I've lost mine gradually over the last couple of weeks, and I'm now 3 days overdue. I know the waiting is the hardest part.

Best wishes.

I have never heard that you need to go to the doctors if you lose your mucus plug.. Only if your waters break.. I am afraid like the rest of your answers it doesn't really mean much. (a bit disappointing to hear that, i know..) It could be soon or it could be weeks. With my first baby i lost it 3 days before i went into labour. I am currently 38 weeks +4 days with 2nd and lost my plug 11 days ago and im still waiting to meet my bubba.. Good luck and i hope it happens soon for you. Xx

From now until whenever. Didn't your Doctor ever tell you that if your water breaks or you lose your mucus plug, you are to go straight to the hospital? Get going girl. Good-luck and Congrats.

Don't count on it anytime soon. I never realized this before but it can be weeks. My friend lost hers 2 weeks ago and still no baby and she is a week past her due date! Hope it happens faster for you but the baby will come when he's ready!

I lost my mucus plug some months before my son replaced into born sooooo.... dont get ur hopes up. Its favourite. If difficult artwork starts off then yeah duh bypass to the physician yet merely relax. My son replaced into in position for months to yet replaced into in difficult artwork for 26 hours and had to have a c-section

It can be days or even weeks from the time you lose your mucous plug until delivery. It is not something to get super excited about. Now if your water breaks, then its time to get excited. Good Luck!

It could be the same day or it could be days from now. You could even be overdue and have to be induced. Hopefully, that won't happen. Just enjoy the moments you have left before the baby comes. Congratulations!!!
