My boyfriend and another couple are going out to eat Saturday - without the kiddos! And maybe bowling afterwards. Its been awhile since we've been to ethier...How is the place? The food?

I love TGI Fridays better. They have more selections on thier menu and the food is better. Jack daniels menu items are awesome, burgers and Fajitas are great. They also have a good kids menu.

I've been to both but never seem to want to go to TGIF. I love Applebee's Bourbon Street Steak and you would if you like a bit of spice. It's kind of Cajun. I also like the ambience at Applebee's the best but either one is going to have a lot of kids if you go early on Friday night. Both are in the same price catagory. If you want to compare menus, you can do that online. I hope you have a wonderful time away from the kiddies for a night. You'll be a better parent when you come back. Everyone needs a breather once in awhile. Good Luck!

I haven't been to an Applebees in years, but I do go to TGIF on a regular basis. The atmosphere is great and usually the bar area is pretty busy. I think the food is better at TGIF than Applebees and they have some pretty interesting drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.

Applebee's (in my opinion) has a more versatile menu but, other than that, you can shake both up in a bag and take the first one to fall out. I would recommend you spend an extra 10 bucks and go to Outback or, if they are available in your area, a Carraba's or Cheeseburger in Paradise. All three feature fresh meats where Applebees, Chili's and TGIF all use frozen meat and seafood.

Personally I think TGIF has better food and drinks than Applebee's. The price range is about the same. If you're going for a night away, I think TGIF is the way to go.

I work at Applebee's and I think that both restaurants have the same exact food. Each restaurant just has a different way of preparing it and adding spices. Always remember to be nice to your server.

Both are very similiar, both nice restaurants and VERY good food. You will be happy with either. Id recommend TGIF, i think there prices are a little better and i like there menu a little more, i used to work there so i cant say anything bad about it. Have fun

They are quite similar, along with Chili's and Ruby Tuesday's. It's almost a case of flip a coin...their menus and prices aren't very different.
Since they are so similar, I'd go to whichever one seems less crowded when you are ready to eat as the ones here in FL do a good business most of the time.
