Are you asking what IT is all about? IT stands for Information Technology, and is a computer based system, which more or less keeps the cogs turning throughout most of the world!
Interesting fact here. It took a telephone engineer from what was the equivalent to BT in the second world war, to construct one of the first 'number crunching' computers, which was installed at Bletchley Park for code breaking.
This computer with the many code breakers there helped to win the war! It was broken up and burned after the war for security reasons.
The guy died in 1998 after being awarded the MBE for his services.
