Because some girls cant keep theri legs closed and guy cant keep their pistol in their holster and neither is raised right. Like my mom use to tell me sucking goober dont get you pregnant having sex does. Girls dont have a role model in their life when they are young except their moms, some moms raise daughters to be the kind that would like to go on one day and be a doctor. Other live in a world where no body gives a crap and no body wants to be an example for them at all. Now the sons have dead beat dads who dont care like the moms, but then there are some that want them to become lawyers. In other words in the life style that the kids live in and the attention the kids get from their parents. If a parent does not show their kids attention the kids will go find something so they can have the attention and show their parents they are ready fro the big leagues

Actually, the teenage pregnancy rate nationwide has dropped, so there are really less teen girls having babies. The world will never function the way you want it to, and it's unfortunate that some girls are so young and think they're ready for motherhood. Hopefully, they realize that they are very young and will think harder before engaging in risky sexual behavior. I also know plenty of young mothers (including one who became a mother at 13!) who are great mothers and have raised great kids.

I had my first child at only 18, I am 32 now, but back 13 years ago birthcontrol was not as widely spoke about as it is now. Had someone of sat m down and explained the pros and cons of having sex and then explain birth control options, maybe I would have made my choices differently. My oldest boy is 13 and he has been well explained and is very knowledgeable of the consequences of his decisions. Bottom line is, I think teenagers are more careful today, then they were 13 years ago.

okay i dont know what the site was that i read this, but i read that since like the 1950s teen pregnancy has gone down alot. you only hear about it so much these days is because they use to send the girls away to have the babies and make them have abortions and ect. plus the media has helped in making more teen pregnancies known. so its not as bad as before. but i do agree there are a lot of them, and unfortunately im a part of the percentage, seeing as i had my first at 14. but i love her anyway (i kept her)

thats life, we cant change it so we have to learn to except it. some teens do grow up and do a damn good job at raising there kid, why knock them for being responsible? 12 is young but i have seen children as young as 9 and 10 pregnant and wanting to have the baby, its a very sad and scary situation but there is nothing we can do about it.

I believe it's because that's what they see all around them. If their mother/sister/cousin has a baby at a young age, then that becomes their perception of what's "normal." Also, all they see is the cute giggling baby and they think it's like a doll - they don't necessarily see the financial hardships, emotional struggles, etc. that go along with teenage pregnancy.
