check and see if there is a local bird register , i run a wild bird hospital and we get calls all the time from people who have lost or found birds. call vets, animal sanctuaries, even garden centres that sell domestic birds , and the police are quite helpful, place ads in shop windows , when he gets hungry someone will see him . good luck

Make posters!! Include a picture and the number of the tag. Post them up EVERYWHERE!! Even more posters than if a dog was lost because birds are harder to find. Make people really think you're missing him so much that you would do ANYTHING to find him. Oh, and give a reward to the person who finds your lost bird. Oh, I do hope you find him. You seem like the ideal bird keeper and I'm sure the bird is missing you!

If it has not been too long since you lost it you could try putting it's cage or stand outside with it's normal food bowls and hope when its tired or hungry it comes back. I lost a parakeet once, flew right out the door, I put his cage outside in a tree with the door wired open and food bowls full. Next morning he was in his cage in the tree.
Good luck.

My suggestion is to call all the animal control places in your area, maybe even your county. Post messages at bird watcher sights in your area and maybe post things in your local news paper.

That's how people locate missing homing pigeons and such where I live.

Good Luck!!

Good luck. The chances are someone will find it and keep it. This is usually what happens. You might also per chance, put an add in the paper to see if anyone will contact you.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!! It would be a miracle if you could recover the ringneck!!! I never knew a ringneck was capable of talking!!! Sorry for your loss!!!

Were the wings clipped? If not, you may never be able to catch it if it is flying. Then you have to worry about different animals on the ground if i cant fly...sorry....but unless you know a professional or something, i think you might be out of luck.....GOOD LUCK THOUGH!!!!!!!

I wish you best of luck!
Its very slim that you will find him.
Put lost signs up around your area and put them in pet stores and veterinarian offices.
Goodluck!
