Im trying to get more affordable alternatives to getting a degree.

I have worked in the HR field for 12 years....unless the position is very high up within the organization, the college or university where the degree was obtained does not matter at all. As long as the degree is verifiable and transcripts can be verified, there is very very little difference in an employer's eyes. Also, most of the time, employers look for amount of specific professional experience more so than the degree type or institution.

I have worked for two fortune 50 companies in my career. They are both the same with this philosophy I stated above.

Although on-line learning is still not looked at as being a "mainstream" education, if it carries genuine, recognizable accreditation, it typically won't matter. Many times, there will be no distinction as to how the degree was obtained - if it is truly accredited.
