Text Messaging?

I have verizon and when I go into sent text messages most of them have check marks next to them i think this means they have been read. Some have the letter I next to them. What does this mean?

The letter usually means its a message you havent opened yet and the check ark means you have read it

The "I" you see next to the message is for incomplete... meaning the complete message did not go through sometimes it does other times it doesn't but if you want to check to see what the I means next time you see it highlight the intended message and then click options scroll to message info and it will tell you.
