Bands play instruments, would you call the Jackson 5 and Osmonds a band. Bands are much more complicated art form of bringing musical instruments together. I don,t think these groups deserve to be called bands, unless its robin hood and is band of merry men even they had flutes or something.

According to my dictionary a band can be, "A group of musicians who play together."
Hmm. This doesn't seem to apply to boy bands does it?

Second definition, " An organised group of people having a common object especially of a criminal nature."
Now that does apply to boy bands!

Rofl, rofl, rofl.

a band is a group of musicians who come together to produce music. A barbershop quartet would be considered a band just as a boy band would. Take any of your favorite bands, remove the vocals from it, would they still be a band in your eyes? Some people play guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, or other insturments. Others use their vocal talents as their instrument. So in my eyes, although I am not really fond of their music, they still deserve the right to be called a band.

interior the 60s The Beatles have been modeled to be a boy band: they became somewhat regular with youthful women human beings, dressed further, offered novelty merchandise, and produced catchy pop songs that crowned the charts. besides the incontrovertible fact that, i think of that The Beatles withstands the try of time. Even 50 years later, they're nevertheless correct and human beings (me lined) nevertheless love them. Their songs stated undying issues, from broken hearts, to faith, and social criticism. they have transcended the "boy band" label, or the different label for that remember. i know a lot of fellows who love the Beatles, while ninety 9.9% of one direction's followers are teenage ladies.
