We are all equal and no one should get privileges based on birth.

kharm requested an example:

all people should have an equal (theoretical) chance to be his/her country's head of state. This privilege must be available to all nationals, not just 1 family.

Do you want to abolish titles or the privileges associated with them? It is still easier for peers to get into parliament than the rest of us and this is not right, but baronets inherit their titles and have no special privileges, except from people who are impressed and treat them differently. I don't think people should inherit powers or privileges, but the continuation of historic titles like Earl of Sandwich or Duke of Wellington adds to the colour of the nation and helps keep our heritage alive.

How about we don't? Yes, we are all born equal, but some are born into money, some are born royalty. Christian monarchs have a God given right to rule anyway. There have been titles like that for thousands of years. A system where everything is equal sounds kinda like communism to me. Not everything is equal or fair, that's just something we have to deal with.

Great idea. Unfortunately all those people who have them, and have the privilges associated with them will never agree to give them up. Plus, you have the people who somehow think we need certain people to have all that stuff to set some sort of 'example' hehe.... we all know the examples some of them set and I don't think I'd like to be following them....

YES

Kick those slackers to the curb and tell them to get a real job.

You mean like our last names? That'd be weird.
