I think in some cases it's in a person's genes. Whether a person drinks, smokes, or has done drugs also has an effect on the brain. If a person keeps their mind busy too. Read a lot, keep the brain stimulated by exercising the brain by doing word games, etc.I would imagine the brain was meant to get us through many more years than 75 or 80, but how we may abuse our bodies has an impact. I think that is really great she lived that long. I suppose you could have some tests done like MRI's, CT scans, or some neurological tests, but for no other reason that to find out how healthy ones brain is, insurance wouldn't pay for it.
