you won't look weird wearing Jeans, puertorrican wear LOTS of jeans all year long. You can also try Capris or what ever you want. Why don't you wear a tankini?? they look nice and many people wear it during this season because the water is a bit cold.
Hope this helps and have fun!

You know, I spent my teenage years never taking my clothes off and wearing bathing suits because I was self-conscious. Looking back, I realize that I missed out on having fun and enjoying myself because of it. I would suggest that you not worry so much about how you look. Find something that's comfortable and have a good time! Very few people look really good in skimpy clothes, by TV standards. This is real life. If you are confident and happy and fun, you'll attract a lot more positive feedback and attention than if you are skulking over under a tent hiding your flesh. You only have this life. Live it and find people who don't care so much about superficial things.

I understand your dilemma. Ok, look, you have two months to get started. You need to devote yourself to exercise and diet. You don't need to buy new clothes or look silly while at PR. All you need to do is put some effort into changing what you don't like. You may not change a lot, but it's 90% all in your mind. Just work on it, and you'll feel better about your personal appearance.

Well you have 2 months to start an excercise program. Speedwalking for a half hour in the morning will do you wonders for your legs. You will feel better and want to show off your hard work.
Good Luck & Have Fun in PR!

Puerto Ricans and Dominicans? * At the individual level the answers will be varied. I have many friends and co-workers from Dominican Republic, and I have no problems or hate toward them. * As societies we got similar cultural / historical backgrounds. Politically? * Both countries / governments have excellent relations between them. Economically? * We got economical partnerships and trade products from / to PR & DR. * We are rivals in turism and compete with other destinations in the Caribbean to attract tourists. However, being rivals in business / tourism is not reason to hate each other. Illegal immigration from DR to PR cause many issues (social, economical, etc.) that may prompt some puertorricans to dislike or hate dominicans.

We went to the Dominican Republic and there were all sort of shapes and sizes (more bad than good). We had a blast and none of us were model perfect. With all the rolls and flab we had nobody really noticed and we didn't care (it was too hot to wear more than a bathing suit and even that was too hot,LOL).
Remember you paid big bucks to have fun, who cares what you look like. Have a blast, you'll regret it if you can't have the fun you deserve.

First off; hate is a horrible word. You should be proud of yourself and love who you are no matter what.
I understand that sometimes we are not comfortable with where we are with our bodies and that just means that you should find healthy ways to improve what you are not happy with.
Now what to wear: wear whatever makes you feel sexy and happy. It is not about how others see you but how you see yourself.
Be healthy and happy!

I bet you look great!
Just think of it this way, my mother a very small petite woman use to get embarrassed to get into a swim suit, because she felt fat (FAR from it) she finally realized one day at the beach that there were women that were overweight that had no problems with their body image and they were in swim suits and showing a lot of skin, its all in your mind how you look, if you have confidence in yourself you will feel better about yourself.

If you´re going to the beach or something, wear a bikini, don´t be ashamed. Have fun, that´s what matters.
Anyway, you have some weeks to try to get thinner or anything like this. Try to eat more healthy foods, fruits, salads and toasts. These gives you more energy also.
Good luck and don´t forget to have fun. You don´t need to be gorgeous, just be you! ;-)
