This week my paycheck was 11 hours short. When I confronted them they said I never clocked in or out all four times on Sunday.
I can believe I forgot one time but all four....please.
They do have a record of me being at the computer because we have to sign in and out.
They said they would fix it next week....but I am not sure they will. What can I do if they just say I never clocked in. My daughter took me to work and picked me up (weekends the public transportation is lousy). She said it wouldn't be enough if she vouched for me because they need something in print.. I can't afford to loose money....I have to pay my bills, I don't have medical insurance....help..

Wait and see if they fix it next week. If they don't, take them to small claims court and ask for your money. Ask the court to have them produce their time-cards. Get the login record off their computer that shows you logged in during those times and keep a copy. Have your daughter testify when she dropped you off and picked you up. But you're also going to need to start looking for another job...

Ask to see your time card. Verify your hours yourself. Always clock in and out.:
If you are an hourly employee and you fail to clock in or out, that is your bad.
All the people vouching for you in the world is not going to help, unless your employer feels like being charitable. You have no recourse because you are unable to verify your presence on duty, if you haven't punched the clock. The employer would only be obligated to pay you for the time logged on the computer because at least you have your presence at work documented for the time period you were on the computer.
A time card is the company's legal representation of your attendance on the job. A time card is the legal record of wages due for time worked.
As such you are responsible for clocking in and out on the assigned time card clearly marked with your name and the pay ending date.

I'd say, chances are really good that your employer will rectify this situation ( we would) but also be aware that it is not their duty to guess your time. It is your responsibility to document your time.

surely someone in a position of authority knows you were at work doing your job. any reputable company will correct this and you should not have to wait a week to get your money.
