ok so im making a pig. will it work if i use a big balloon for the body, a smaller one for the head, and the bottoms of paper cups for feet & the snout? how do i make them all stay in place while i paper mache them? im using party streamers for the crepe paper, how do i make those "shingles"? do i cut 1" squares and fold them in half?wouldnt the bottom flap open though? and one more question, what should i make the ears out of?

i have to make the pinata for spanish class, if i actually needed the pinata for a party or something i wouldnt be dumb enough to make one myself

I would attatch everything with masking tape before I started covering it. This site has great instructions for making a pinata. She shows you how to cut the tissue to make the "shingles". Since you are using party streamers, you could cut it into workable sized strips then fold lengthwise and cut as she directs on this link...

That sounds like a great idea!!! I think you should attach the feet and snout 'after' you crepe the whole pig. You should use the same color cups as the streamers, this way, you dont have to crepe the legs. If you do want to crepe the legs/snout, you can add glue the legs to the paper mache using Elmer's glue and crepe the legs/snout. I've added a link to a site to give you tips on making a pinata. From waht I see, you already know how to make them though. Good luck&have fun at your party!!!

Buy a pinata and stop making it hard for yourself, im not trying to be mean just trying to help you save time.
