When my sons get sick the first thing I do is take his temp and then call the doctor. The doctor (or the nurse practitioner) will be happy to talk to you the phone and decide whether or not you'll need an office visit. If not they will tell you what medicine is best and if that it doesn't change to go in. Also, a BIG help in any case is a humidifier/vaporizer! Trust me, it will make him/her feel SO much better (especially if she/he is congested).

Infant tylenol is generally safe, but make sure you give her the dosing based on her weight. The label says under 2 call doctor because they don't want the liability. Your doctor should be able to provide you with a list of different medication that is safe for an infant to take along with dosing info based on her weight range. Since this is the first time, call the doctor up, let them know her symptoms, what her temp is, etc. From there they will decide if they want you to bring your daughter in to get checked (if she's rubbing at her ears it could be an ear infection - colds tend to turn into them in younger children because they're ears don't drain the same way an adults does, so they will most likely want to stay on the side of caution and examine her). Hope your daughter feels better.

My advise is to just see if your daughter can fight the cold on her own. Giving a child cold medication every time he/she has a runny nose is a bad habit to get into. I never gave my kids over the counter medications (with exception of Tylenol for fevers) unless it was suggested by their pediatrician. A cold will run its course in 8 - 10 days, if she is still suffering from the symptoms after that or if she develops a fever and/or the symptoms worsen, take her to your pediatrician.
Poor baby... sorry she's sick. :(

If it's not worse, better don't give any medicine!
Try with saline drops first (it's also safe for small babies)! It flushes all the mucus. You can get it at pharmacy.
Elevate upper part of her matress to make her easier to breathe when she lays!
Put her socks on!
Go to doctor in case she has fever & barky cough!
All infants are developing allergy until their 6 years. If one/ both of the parents have, then the chance is above 60%.
I recommend you to regularly wash her bed cover, blanket every week, remove heavy bed garment, bulky curtain, carpet, soft toys that are hairy, open window every morning for fresh air, take her out for a walk once a day! It helps.

No doctor is needed honey its the time of year saline drops are awesome get them asap. A humidifier is a plus also. The only time to tske your baby to the doctor is when there is fever or a difference in the childs eating, drinking or sleeping habit. Also watch tuging and touching of the ears.

Really, under a year old, before you treat anything over the counter, you should take your child to the doctor. Reason being: over the counter medicines can mask other, more serious symptoms in little kids.

the best thing is to go to the doctor , but you can also call them for advice. For my son we used infant stuffy nose. I was told to give him half of what the dosage was for a 2 year old written on teh back of the bottle. The eyes just need to be wiped with a warm wash cloth. You dont want to medicate what can go away on its own.

nicely, you're no longer meant to grant a sprint one drugs for runny nostril. you could positioned saline spray (my well-being practitioner recommends basically Saline, you additionally could make your own) in her nostril and a vaporizer (or turn the bathe on so that's warm sufficient to steam up the room, and enable her inhale the steam) while she sleeps. If she has a fever you'll be able to provide babies Tylenol or Motrin reckoning on her age. The dosing info is on the bottle and carton and it varies in accordance on your infant's age and weight. you may desire to probably call the drug keep and ask a pharmacist for that too. i'm hoping she feels greater advantageous quickly.
