Definitely go to the nearest Synagogue/Temple and talk to the Rabbi or secretary or whoever is in charge at the moment. They will definitely be able to help you find someone. Don't be affraid of going, trust me they'll be very friendly (or you can always call them).

I suggest you go to http://local.yahoo.com/ and search for Temple or Synagogue near your zipcode. I just did that for your city and I only came up with this: "The Jewish Community of the Hill Country" their website http://www.thejchc.org/ where they have a link to contact them. Apparently there is a very small jewish population where you live, so if you still haven't found a holocaust survivor with time to help you, I suggest looking for a Temple/ Synagogue in your nearest city and contact them by phone or e-mail.

For example I found Temple-Beth-el in San Antonio, TX. Their website is http://www.beth-elsa.org/ and telephone # (210) 733-9135. This will probably be your best bet.

Good luck.

This is some names that I found of survivors that are still living, and living in the USA. Oh course many changed their last names, by marriage or by choice, so I'm not sure you can even locate them.

FRIEDMAN, Raphael
KRIVITSKY, Beyla
SOLOMON, Leon
SVIRSKY, Joshua

It seems that all of the above were just children during the holocaust.

Contact the Jewish federation, or the Jewish community newspaper, in the nearest city to your small town, if you can't find a Holocaust survivor (or a synagogue or temple) in your own town.

Doubtful that is going to happen by the 30th. You need to keep in my mind that any holocaust survivors would be elderly by now.

February 30th. It will NEVER happen.
Change the date and advertise in one of your most popular newspapers.
