Exactly the blue window says .... make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and roperly connected to your computer and any disk-related hardware configuration is correct. This may involve running a nanufturer supplied diagnostic or set up program

You need to check the BIOS to be sure that the drive(s) are enabled and being seen properly.

Until the BIOS has a firm fix on the parameters of the hard drive you won't be able to access it to do anything with it: partition it, format it, load an operating system, etc

Pressing Del or F2 immediately after powering-on, depending on your particular motherboard's keystroke, you'll gain access to the BIOS Setup screens. Carefully reviewing which menu lets you adjust the settings for drives that are attached is where you want to get to.

And one of the "no-brainer" things to do is to double-check FIRST, that the data cable and power cable is firmly attached, and that the jumper settings of the drives are set correctly, as necessary: Master, Slave, or Cable Select.

Good Luck

You must hit f7 or f6 before it boots up and type "format c:"

it will say are you sure .. say ....yes.. but then again don't you have recovery software that came with your PC? If so place the cd into your disk drive and then reboot your computer, it usually has a format option.

Better dont try yerself. But formatting is easy.At DOS prompt jus type Format C: to format C Drive or D,E,F etc whatever yer case maybe. But in case ye are not able to go to DOS prompt then its a real tricky stuff.Cause then ye have to open up yer BIOS SETUP which can be accessed when the computer is booting up and then ye have to keep on tapping the delete key.But boy better dont do it yerself cause ye can land in more trouble then ye can imagine.Better get a pro to do it observe and later on do it yerself

First, have you ever put in your mom board drivers? verify on top of issues panel / device/ networking and notice if xp put in your drivers for you: IF no longer pass to the mummy board mfgrs internet internet site, (mfgr and kind is on the mummy board) and download and installation those. Now connect your laptop on on your modem(no longer by your router) with the rj-40 5 cable. Run your internet working wizard( or your ISP utility) and whilst it asks to your wep key (its the ten digit variety code in brackets in the back of your modem) kind it in without the brackets persist with something of the undemanding instructions and your laptop would have internet . Reconnect your router and your laptop by your router. in case you have on the spot it provides you with that still. HP internet internet site has basically Vista drivers so dont situation with their internet site.
