Dr. Wayne was also the "first Batman" according to The First Batman, a Silver Age tale where Dr. Wayne attacked and defeated hoodlums while dressed like a "Bat-Man" for masquerade ball with flying creatures as a theme. This was recognized as one of the inspirations for Bruce donning the Batman costume. According to the story, Thomas Wayne's actions resulted in Lew Moxon being imprisoned and ordering the murder of Thomas Wayne ten years later. Though this would make Bruce 12-15, the Silver Age Batman tales were known for their inaccuracies. When Batman realizes Moxon ordered his parents killed, he confronts Moxon, who can't remember what he did due to amnesia. When Batman's costume is torn, he wears Thomas Wayne's, which looks very much like the original Bat-costume from 1939. Moxon remembers his crime, believes that he is being attacked by Thomas Wayne's ghost and flees into the streets where he is killed by a truck.

Batman is a fictional character published be DC Comics and has the secrect idenity of Bruce Wayne. Though at times he has also used the alias of Matches Mallon when he needs to go undercover in the criminal under ground. For awhile both the Character of Azerial and Dick Grayson have filled in for bruce as Batman. Dick Grayson is the frist Robing all grown up and now known as Nightwing.

Bruce Wayne is the original Batman, the new(ish) series Batman Beyond has the future Batman, AKA Terry McGuinness (i've probably spelt his name wrong) a teenager who works for Bruce Wayne.

Everything they said so far. But I think his most important trait is that he has no real superpowers. He may be the only superhero with no superpowers. I always thought Batman was cool and gay at the same time. I would be watching the oldschool cartoon on cartoon network, and the whole time I would be thinking, if these stupid fuc*s could shoot a gun properly........
