Can I be on Hydroxycut and the Nuva Ring at the same time? Will they affect each other?

Those two drugs won't interact with each other, meaning Hydroxycut won't reduce the efficacy of your birth control. But I'd still recommend you discontinue use of Hydroxycut.

Hydroxycut is full of stimulants which temporarily elevate your metabolism (which accelerates weight loss when USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH EXERCISE). But the problem is, it raises blood pressure and heart rate, both of which can go DANGEROUSLY high when exercising. This can result in heart attack and stroke.

NuvaRing, as with all hormonal birth control formulas, has the side effect of elevated risk of blood clots, which can lead to stroke.

So you put TWO drugs together that can raise your risk of cardiovascular "accidents," and you can be in a world of hurt.

Stay on the NuvaRing (but make sure you don't smoke nor have a family history of stroke) and ditch the Hydroxycut. Lose weight the old fashioned way: healthy, moderate diet and good exercise.
