when you see some one, do you always judge just by apperance? I'm not only talking about judging in a bad way way, but also in good ways...

Hi Jacquie.
As a rule, people almost always form an instant opinion of
people when first seeing someone--because that's just the first
opportunity, and as you know, first impressions are lasting ones.
Judging others (..good and bad..) isn't complete until you get to
know the person better. Discover some traits they have, realize
that your first impression may have to be changed after you find
out what the other person is like. So, Jacquie, reserve judgement
until you see the whole person, OK??

I use too, but that was bad. I judge by appearance. If the person look mean and did not look like a person I could talk too I'll stay alway, but one day I ran into someone that looked like someone I'll never talk too or hang out. This person was the coolest person I have ever talked to. So from that day forward I never judge by appearance.

Yes I do judge by appearances. How else can I judge them when they are strangers, other than how they look.
Judge is perhaps the wrong word to use. I dont judge anyone, just form an impression.

No i judge by the way they talk...if they seem friendly and talk & joke a little i think they r pretty cool ...if they don't really talk too much and look real serious i think they r prob a jerk or a biatch! And then when i get to know them better i know if i was right or wrong about them to begin with...and im usually right!

It's hard to not judge someone by appearances, but it can be very detrimental. Think about a clean cut guy in a suit, you'd be more likely to talk to him, than say, some guy in dirty jeans in a tshirt. However, you really don't know either guy, you don't know who is the real gentleman. Appearances can often be decieving. I try not to judge by appearances, but by personality.

Well if I never get a chance to speak to the person then yes, I have to base my opinion on how they look and how they carry themselves as well as how they dress. If I actually talk to someone then I would be more likely to judge them by their personality and if they were approachable and likable..

i judge a person by their manners and style if i talk to this person then also on their way of expressing themselves... which may possibly be a good impression just as much as a bad one..

The appearance is the first thing you see, so yes. I always look at how a person carries themselves and how they dress. Not the brands but if they are put together or sloppy. Appearance is a big factor in deciding whether or not you want to get to know a person better.

That first physical impression is like packaging on a product. I know it's transitory and wonder, "where (in principles and experience) is this person coming from?" What's below the surface, behind their eyes, inside their heart?
(a lot to wonder about strangers, I suppose...)(but I'm always thinkin')

Definitely, as much as we shouldn't judge someone until we get to know them I think everyone does. Based on their looks, their hair, clothes, earings, bags, shoes, voice, amongst numerous other things. Whether or not this is being judgmental, I think we all do it ;-)
