Yes...I have a beautiful body... kind of like beyonce's except I'm white. I have a big round butt and nice curves..and I work out, but I'm a size 10! I would love to be a size 6 or at least have my size 8 clothes be loose.
Anyway, I have been interested in fashion since I was in elementary school and we grow up looking at these "beautiful" women...and they are all a sizes 0-6. Many girls want to grow up and look like these women and they can be quite hard on themselves when things don't turn out that way.

I think it is easier and more damaging to when women compare themselves to their friends, family, or people around them. They are real. What we see is not altered in some way by computer. Being overweight while in high school was one of the hardest things I ever lived through. I wasn't excited for swimsuit seasons or even summer, for shorts season... It was harder for me living through that than seeing gorgeous celebrities in our media culture.
If you look into magazines, movies, etc..., most women should realize that digital imaging has become amazing. Yes, they may be skinny and beautifully tan, but there are flaws somewhere. Without all the glam, anyone could find them.
We all seemed to think Spears was perfect at one time...
Great question!

I am self conscious about the size of my waist. It isnt nearly as flat as I would like it to be. And yeah the media definately plays a role in how I look at myself. I always compare my body to Scarlet, Jessica, and all of the others. Although I know I will never be as perfect as them (without a personal trainer, and plastic surgery), you still cant help but to want to look that good!

Well of course it is due to media. They denote that you should look like this and if you did, you'd be in this pic instead of the girl there. It's horrible really. I've seen prettier women walking down the street. I am not self conscious about my body and have learned to love it. I am who I am. Remember, appearances can be changed but stupidity stays.

I think that it's hard not to be self-conscious about that because of the degrading images put out as examples for us. Unless a girl is very confident in herself, we are usually conscious of just about everything.

i think both sexes are somewhat self conscious about their physical..even the woman that has the perfect body will find something negative to say about the way she looks....what we see in the media has alot to do with it..i think now they are accepting full figure or women with curves..stick thin is not in anymore...

Funny question since I don't only get comments from men on my rear end but females at work say they would like to have one my size!! It is a little uncomfortable since I really don't like people starring at my body; I would rather have them look at my face to talk to me.

See, the problem here is that your thinking the guys on porn are the average size and your small. 7.5 in is fairly big, especially at 14.
