Anyone else here proud to be white? The European Race accomplished so many wonderful things in the world's history. Shouldn't there be a month dedicated to our fine race?

Heritage not Hate.

WE don't need any of that nonsence. WE aren't ignorant little backward thinking children. WE won't riot and burn down our own neighborhoods.
These differences are put into action
#1, By a GOV that is far too PC.
#2 So Politicians can say "see what we did for you".
# 3 Try to keep a people enslaved and dependent on the Gov, without them even realizing it.

There is NOTHING wrong in having pride in your own race. people can be so hipacritical when it comes to this type of question. Any other race can show pride in their heritage, but when a white person shows pride, they are deemed a racist. I am a Mexican/American, and yes I am proud of my heritage, I am not ashamed of where I come from. Pay no attention to what these other jerks are writing to you. The one's that are calling you a racist are mostly the non whites. They are putting down your race because you want to show your pride for it. Now ask yourself. Who is the racist now?

Why must all of you link being racist to hating? Oh.... it could be the lack of education...... I am very proud to be German. I am also proud of the accomplishments we have made throughout history. I really don't see why we have a black history month at all. What have they accomplished or invented that has made man kind in general a better place?

No, I am not proud to be white. I am glad that I'm white. To me pride comes only from personal accomplishment. I did nothing to make myself white, therefore I can't be proud of it.
The same goes for nationality. I can't say that I'm proud of being an American. I am very proud of America, but being born here was just chance. I can't claim any honor for it.

Amen, brother! I'm proud to be white. Europeans have done a lot of great things in the world's history, but we have done a lot of bad things too like colonolization; let us not forget that either. Yes, I think there should be a white history month. After all there is a black history month, and if you take away slavery, basketball and hip-hop, what's left, really?

You do, you have "White History Year" this is celebrated throughout all the schools in the US. School history books that students read throughout school is white history.

Everyone in America is forced (by the public school system, which is run by the government) to learn white history.

Not necessarily. It's not as if being white were some sort of accomplishment of my own, for which I should congratulate myself. It was largely an accident of genetics and history.

If I am proud at all, it's of things that I have done, not because of DNA.

I am a proud Italian. I am also proud of having a pinch of Scandinavian in me. I don't catagorize myself in the 'white group'. It's silly!! Whats with this labeling people by the color of their skin?? It's so ignorant!
I will never, ever call myself white.......maybe beige with golden undertones......but never white. LOL
