computer won't let me online?

I moved my computer after unplugging it and now it won't let me connect to the internet. It says can't find server,and AOL tool error what can I do to fix this and get back online ?

I called cox they said I have a connection but it won't let me visit web sited it lets me do this cause I'm working offline

Did you hook your modem or ethernet cable back up?

call your internet service provider
