I think it a great IDea if you go to war your kids should fight for a cause if you feel it right!

I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, if he's in the military, he shouldn't get special privileges and not have to go when everyone else has to, but on the other hand, having someone of his status over there could possible put them in even more danger than they would've otherwise been in. Wouldn't the terrorists just love to get their hands on a Royal Prince??? I think he's being honorable though in not trying to get out of it.

Its not rare that royals go to wars. Centuries ago, Kings fought with their army, and sometime recently, the uncle of Harry fought at the Faulklands.

If he hadn't gone there would have been a lot of fuss in the papers about him being protected.
He joined up of his own free will so was honour bound to take any posting his regiment were given.
