Keep your tongue in your mouth. Otherwise it should be no big deal.

It's part of acting. You don't need to feel awkward. When the director says "go", you kiss, you feel passion, when he says cut, you say "good job petey, that's a wrap. Let's grab a bite to eat. Big mac?"

On a similar note, many hollywood types engage in flirty romances during filming, and then just drift away afterwards, like Jim Carrey and Renee Zellweger.

i dont think there are any ways it will not be awkward.
maybe you guys should talk about it a lot and it wont seem so weird.
the only thing i can suggest is practice a lot before the show, the 1st time is definately gonna be weird, but just like everything else in life, practice makes perfect... it will start being more and more natural.

why kiss someone who you're not to any extent further tender in silence with? i wager you should in simple terms smile and kiss regardless of this/hug them. or if its the top of the nighttime do this then say 'see you quickly/wednesday..etc' or how about the horribly tacky yet would pass down nicely reckoning on the guy, said very theatrically; 'oh no! i wasnt paying interest! we are going to ought to do it lower back...' xxx

It might help to make a funny comment about it to him. Somthing like, "Won't it be weird to have to kiss in front of all those people?" Then you can laught it off and hopefully that'll ease the awkwardness.

It's called "acting" dear. You're not kissing your best friend, your character is kissing his character. Stay in character and do your job.
