I am all about mid size town, not too small but not too big either.

I like living in the suburbs. After having visited in small towns on several occasions, I have reached the conclusion that they are boring as hell. Several years ago my wife and I visited my mother in the small town in the Texas panhandle where she lives. It has a population of about 600. She lives on the main drag where the post office, most of the businesses and the one restaurant in town are located. On our way back home, we decided to stop into an antiques shop which was no more than a quarter of a mile from Mom's house. We were there for about an hour and only one other person entered the shop during that time. Personally, I don't know how these people manage to make a living, unless they are making hooch or other illegal substances or growing illegal plants and selling them on the side.

The small town I grew up in and still live in is now a small city. ..and I like it. I don't have to fight big city traffic to any shopping unless there is some specific store I want to go to in the big city.

I live in a medium sized town, but I do like to travel to big cities. I also live in the country, I love the peace and quiet.

I'm torn I grew up in the country and I love it but I've been a city girl for the last ten years. So I like the city until I get older and have kids then I'll go back to the country.
