Have patience. Big change is coming, don't worry. After the big incident (Diana Nutt's email re: mustain) was published last week, Broyles has already stepped down. Now do you think they are going to let Houston Nutt's wife's mistake get rid of Frank Broyles but not Houston Nutt? Not a chance.

But the way the board of trustees has decided to play it, is let Broyles, the head hancho, exit the scene gracefully so he can preserve whatever good name he can, so they can keep him on as an effective fundraiser after his Athletic Director retirement is effective 12-31-07. In order to do all this, they had to completely separate the 2 incidents: Nutt gettig canned because of team mismanagement and Broyles retirement. Like retiring was all Broyles decision. You have to remember Broyles has a lot of control over the press in Arkansas, even to this day. So Broyles and Nutt won't be mentioned in the same headlines any more. And Nutt won't be canned at the same time Broyles retires. But it is coming, just wait. Maybe once they've named a new Athletic Director, maybe next week. Who knows? Nutt is outta here, in my opinion. I think the BOT is just waiting until they have either decided on the replacement coach or the replacement AD. The last thing they need to is to fire Nutt and leave the HC job up in the air. The Arkansas Athletic dept has been too much of a circus this year as it is. They will wait until they know something solid before they make any announcements.

I have to disagree with you on Gus Mahlzan, however. He was an offensive genius. Our team will be hurting without him. But Houston Nutt wouldn't let him do his job, nor did he keep his word. You can't blame him for leaving, though I hope he comes back in a year or two for the HC job. In the meantime, I think we should get Lou Holtz back as Interim coach!

First of all, he led the Razorbacks to an (almost) BCS game last season. Mustain left for about a week, then decided to return. Arkansas revived themselves last year, and now it looks like they're set for a championship run with Darren McFadden carrying them on their shoulders. So in conclusion, I think Houston Nutt is doing a very good job as coach of the Razorbacks.

Houston Nutt is a better coach than you give him credit for! The problems last year were caused by Gus, Mitch, and whiny-*** parents who didn't think their sons were getting to play enough! What was Nutt going to do? Throw Mustain into the fire just because he's athletic enough and "has the tools"? Or use what he has available, which is a HEISMAN TROPHY candidate in McFadden and a VERY GOOD backup in Felix Jones! Any coach in his right mind would've done the same thing Nutt did last year. Had he bowed to the parent's demands and etc., Arkansas wouldn't have had NEARLY as good of a season as they had! Sure Mustain showed some flashes, but that was against a mediocre Vandy team and a mediocre Alabama team. I agree Dick is no better, but he was EXPERIENCED enough to run the offense and do what he was told! No coach looks successful when he's dealing with a chemically unbalanced team of obviously great players and prima donnas like "Crapstain" Mustain! But, Nutt stuck to his football guns and won 11 games! Don't worry, he'll recruit a good QB who is willing to learn his role.

Don't know but I'm glad he didn't come to Nebraska when they tried to steal him away from Arkansas.

My favorite Nutt quote of all time.

"We are not intimidated by USC we play in the SEC."

Then his team goes on to lose by some 60 points.
