If I understand your question right... Does it come hooked up to the Internet? No, nothing comes hooked to the internet. Now, To get onto the Internet you will need to ask a few things.

1.) Does your laptop have wireless access? If yes, then you can read the manual on your laptop about connecting to a free public wi-fi signal.

2.) If it doesn't - Then do you need to get a wireless antenne? If so, go to CompUSA, Best Buy, Circuit City and ask the electronics folks about what you need for your particular laptop.

3.) Most laptops have an Ethernet (that's a phone plug looking thing that is a little bit bigger than your normal phone line). How ever you are accessing the internet (to write this question) would be a good way to research what kind of internet is in your area.

Does your area have Cable Internet? DSL (Offered through a phone company) or are you so far away from town that you can only get internet from a Satellite (Which costs about $100 a month!).

Depending on where you live, you can probably find Internet somewhere. Best bet is to go to Broadband.com and do a search for service and look at how much it's going to cost for accessing the internet. If you want free internet, go to places that offer "Free Wi-Fi" like coffee shops or hotels.

You may also have software already loaded on your laptop that might connect you to the internet if you hook up your regular phone to it. MSN and AOL are two common choices. Click on the link and follow the directions.

Good Luck and Happy Surfing!

you're able to make clean what you mean with the aid of a "primary internet plan". for many human beings out here, we pay for the use of the pipeline, and it would not rely what number machines get to apply it. in case you have a handle any favourite cable provider, you could connect any style of computers below a single gateway and all machines will share a bandwidth shrink... in case you have a handle some dude down the line then noone may even guess what the words are. properly stated ME M

Depends on where you buy it from, some come with trial periods. For example I bought mine from Dell and it came with 6 months free AOL or Earthlink, but I already had a plan so I didn't need to use it. After the initial trial you would have to pay for the plan.
