This is one MORE of my pet peeves with Microsoft. They make it very difficult to uninstall Microsoft stuff, especially stuff like Microsoft Messenger/Internet Explorer/ and other software they sell advertising spots on their operating systems to like AOL. Best is to uninstall Microsoft by reformatting and installing a good operating system, like kubuntu, available for free at www.kubuntu.org

Best not to play with it.
I use Firefox but I leave IE on the machine because occasionally I find a site that only works with IE.
If your are determined then go to the Add/Remove Windows Components tab on the left side of the Add/Remove window. I think you can remove it there.

If it is no longer in your Add and Remove programs list and you recently installed it, try a system restore.
Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>System Restore. Pick a date in bold before you installed IE7.

you need to unistall the IE replace, no longer the fairly utility. once you flow to function/do away with, tick the "tutor Updates" field and choose th IE7 replace. this might roll it lower back on your previous version.
