Is the dialect on Margarita Island different than in the rest of Venezuela? I heard they talk differently and it's not a true Venezuelan accent. What about Puerto La Cruz; that's an area with normal Venezuelan dialect and they use tú, not vos, right?

In margarita island the language difference is mainly in the accent. However you must understand that Venezuelans use a colloquial language with many slang words that may give the impression of a dialect, it is not!!. In different regions of the country the slang wording changes in meaning and content and a large portion of the population, educated and uneducated alike, use the slang wording so much that it ends up sounding like a different dialect. The accent in Puerto La Cruz may be closer to the accent of the central area of the country than that of the Margariteños. Most Venezuelans use TU except the ones from the north west region which use largely VOS

There is not a different dialect in the island of Margarita. The accent is different though. People along the coast are much more informal in there manner of speaking, and some of the colloquialisms are different as compared to, let's say, Merida in Los Andes. "Vos" is generally not used in Venezuela. The formal "you" is: Usted (Ud.), with the informal being "Tu".

There is no dialect in Venezuela. The difference between Margarita accent and Caracas accent is the same as NY accent and southern accent in the US. But it is still the same spanish. Vos is used only in Maracaibo, but it is not that frequent.
