I understand the economic realities of the world that we live in, but we aren’t talking about a little difference in income.
Paris Hilton made almost 500 times more that a teacher last year. Not $500 dollars more, but as much as 500 teachers!!!!!!! And look what she is teaching kids.

I agree that society's screwed up. We pay more for entertainment than we do for necessities. With teacher salaries being so low, what kind of education are our kids getting?

Unfortunately, people are willing to pay higher tickets at the box office and go see the sporting events or concerts. Companies are willing to shell out big money to get this or that model to endorse their product. Tax payers do NOT want their property taxes hiked to pay for teachers, more teachers and/or raises for the existing ones.

Me, I quit going to concerts and football games. I'm one of the ones that will not pay more for enterainment but lots of businesses will pay to advertise on sporting events on TV or concerts shown on TV so the prices just keep climbing and climbing.

Well the sad reality is that life is not fair or how else can you explain it? People who make a positive impact on other people lives should earn more but they don't. Meanwhile people like Jordan earn all the cash for appearing naked in men's magazines.

Nodoby is watching a doctor, scientist or teacher on tv, and thousands of people don't fill stadiums or movie theatres to watch them perform, therefore they don't bring in the revenue. I'm not saying it's right, but that's why.
