yes there is an error. Thanks. It should be 2 ^ 2 + ( 13 -8 / 4) * 2 - (6 - 4) ^ 2

2^2+ (13 - 8/4) x 2-(6-4)^2=22 Use the order of operations.
4 + 11 x2 -2^2=
4 + 22 - 4= 22

Hi Susan,
I think you made an error entering your question (expression). The left side of the equation simplifies to 4.
The right side of the equation simplifies to 18.
Since 4 does not equal 18, there's an error somewhere.
