I feel AIDS is a huge problem in the world. My father has had aids for 20 years, yes he is still living, but he pays the price, the pills give him unpleasent side effects and he has to take ten pills twice a day. It is hard to live with and accept, that eventually something will not work...some people can just harbor the disease and never actually get sick. The ones who do get sick are in pain, worried at times cast aside, or judged in the wrong way. I read on times.com they have found an antibody called b12 that could be a cure for aids. something to do with how the cd4 cells attack the immune system and multiplys and creates more bad cells(sick cells), the b12 attacks the cd4 cells and creates good cells. Read up on it..I am so estatic that there could be a cure..it would mean less money for doctors and the pharmecys but imagine how many people would be saved from a life of pain, suffering and hardship caused by this disease! the stereotype that aids is only transmitted by gay or bisexual people is a lie. Any person can get it. There are men, women, children of all ages and race that get it. Be carefull, wear protection and get information on it. It is deadly, but can be managed. I hope sooner or later that the worlds views on diseases and the way they relate to people and are cast on certain groups changes and we can all realize it is serious for everyone.

I think it is a huge problem. I believe that everyone should go get tested just to be on the safe side because a lot of people that spread it don't know because they are too scared to go and get checked out. AIDS is so huge that it is killing people everyday in the US, Africa, China and other countries all over the world. We all have to be smarter about who we have sex with and share other personal encounters with. Protect yourself everytime so there will not be a problem
