FYI I am aware that no pregnancy tests can pick this up so early, I was just curious to know about women's personal experiences as so many of you say you knew straight away & its fascinating..tks

Tx Narnian Artist - sounds interesting site - will check it out. Tx for all your replies - I think its amazing the huge variety of symptoms we all get. I don't think its in your head, I just think some women when TTC are so in tune once theyve already been preg they are aware of every twinge as a "sign"!!

Sorry I can't offer you my own symptoms having never been pregnant, however there is a very fun site you might like called twoweekwait.com where a bunch of women who got pregnant wrote day by day symptoms from 1 day past ovulation to the time they got their positive preg test. I love reading their posts, I hope you do to. (:

With my first baby, I knew within a couple of days. I suddenly went off coffee, tea and chocolate (which tasted really rancid). I also became really sensitive to smells, started to wake up at night wanting to go to the loo and felt midly nauseous. The other main symptom was being utterly, utterly exhausted. In fact, until I was late, I put down all of the symptoms to coming down with something like the 'flu.

I'm now 12 weeks pg with my second and I have had absolutely zero symptoms. I even managed to get to 8 weeks before I realised that I might be pregnant (I had a bleed at 4 weeks which I mistook for a period). Anyway, this time around I haven't had hardly any symptoms at all.

I suppose I'm living proof that sometimes you know and sometimes you don't!

This is my fourth pregnancy. We planned this one down to a T. I was suppose to ovulate around mid September. So we tried every day. My birthday is 9/29 and we went out. I didn't have the urge to drink, I just didn't feel right. The day after my b-day I had started getting a cold. That was my first sign. Then the next day we came home from bowling and I felt so sick and tired it was unbelievable. Every evening for the next week around the same time that would happen. Finally after a missed period and 3 pregnancy tests that were -, I tried again on October 6th and finally got a +. The sickness lasted until I hit 12 weeks.

This is sort of the other side of the coin. My husband and I had ivf treatment. I absolutely knew after the first week after the embryo transfere that it hadn't worked. I woke up one morning and immediatly felt empty (hard to explain). I was 100% sure that it hadn't worked but I didn't tell my hubby because I knew he wouldn't understand and would think it was just me being pessimistic.

I think women sometimes just know what's going on inside their own body - whether it's good or bad. But I don't think you could explain it.

I knew very soon with my last 2 , But with my first I had no idea. I think it's just easier after the first because you know what it feels like to be pregnant. My symptoms were very sore breasts and these crazy huge veins I could see on my breasts. And all I wanted to do was sleep.

I knew I was pregnant the day before I missed my period. I could feel a change in my pelvis. Like I could feel the mass growing in my uterus. Hard to explain, but this is also my second pregnancy.

It's almost impossible even for a blood test to show you are pregnant within days of ovulation. Your HGC doesn't start rising til after implantation which can take 7-10 days after ovulating.
