Council- and housining tenant to get rent protection for life? Was in the papers a few days ago.
Where i live i have yet to meet someone that falls under the above category and has paid a penny tax other than a TV licence in the last 10 years.
Even on the minimuum wage you stand no chance of getting a subsidized rent property.
The more you scrounge, the more you get. Not that you have a lot but the one thing all the scroungers have in common is a safe roof above their head and no worries about where their next council tax instalment is coming from.
What will happen to the pampered underclass when this Labour government gets voted out (only a matter of time and choice is not really an option) and how will the Conservatives deal with the underclass over the years they are in power?

Lol ... it was the Daily Mail that reported on the issue. No matter what paper you read, they all got their agenda. I don't agree with the Mail on the whole but those that have the need to really slag it off should ask themselves why. I tend to read it cause it gives me food for thought. They are s**t stirrers but it beats page 3's or Murdoch tainted propaganda. As for the Independent and the Guardian ... sometimes ... when there is something on the front page that interests me. Or when i just HAVE to have the freebie poster :-)

Yes, those that work and create the wealth, will have to ask the great beneficiaries of the benefits system for a hand out.
I have noticed that when the lefties don't have a credible response to a valid question, they resort to name calling, like slagging off the Daily Mail. Even the TV media do this. They never slag of the bearded Guardian lefties, because it's that particular rag that carries most of the public sector job adverts.
Mojo, I am not an apologist for the Tory party, the opinions I give are mine alone, but you are right in noting that I despise all those groups who fall under the umbrella definition of, 'left wing'. Their message is espoused by nearly all the news media, TV and the BBC in particular. That is why it is essential to have newspapers like the Daily Mail to try to redress the balance.
As I say, I don't speak for the Tory party, but surely it is too soon for them to come out with any definitive policies, only to have them stolen or rubbished by the current Government. In any event, I don't think that the Tories have a policy on the promotion of fecklessness.

The Labour party has known since 1945 that the way to get into power is to promise these types with free bies as there are more of them than any, the only good thing they have done was to introduce the nation health , but alas the same party is responsible for ruining it, you have made me depressed now, when I think of all the freebies they hand out to those who could work and will not, and yet those who have worked and payed their taxes all their lives get minimum subsistence, their plan is that the old age pensioners do not any longer contribute to the Government coffers so , stop paying them let them starve on what we give them and put them back on the list in the hospitals, you could be in a situation where you are 64 getting a vast multitude of benefits and such then the day of your 65 behold they disappear, bloody Labour , they have ruined this country.

How we all have such short memories. It was never easier than during the Conservative years to scrounge. Everything was index-linked; rent increases were phased-in,;signing-on was a doddle with few questions asked and next to no pressure to accept alternative work; invalidity benefits to Sunday league footballers; ill-gotten gains of criminals untouchable; the list goes on. If you think today's underclass is pampered you have seen nothing. As for the Daily Mail, balance just doesn't exist in their writing and that is why the paper and its readers are almost universally derided. Sorry.

I went back to work after having my son and ended up being £30.00 per week worse off without taking my travel expenses into account. What help I did get from the council/government they took back plus some. For me to be able to pay all my normal bills run a car and feed my kids I would need to work over 40hrs a week and have a job that pays more then £5.50 per hour. Not many jobs in rural Scotland that fit that bill. Not all of the "pampered ones" choose to be this ways they find themselves pushed into through having no options.Mum of 3 husband just walked out.The problem with this planet is that you tend to tar everyone with the same brush!

i will in hassle-free terms wager what's occurring now. yet as quickly as I went to college the entire racial factor became at a head and that they actually divided the home complicated I lived in down the line on which college young little ones have been going to. the college my group became sent to became a nicely-popular area of KKK interest. Then they shipped interior the internal-city young little ones. It became a extreme warzone. Gun/Knife tests - the entire bit. They nevertheless have not admitted how badly they screwed up on that. One gay dude became even shot by utilising his own brother in college. Then I moved right into a area that became clearly distinctive and it became greater mellow then i presumed achievable. My hate for controlling government freaks thoroughly is ordinary without decrease.

The strange irony is that they have done nothing to stop the high earners, company directors, executives and the like from getting higher and higher salaries, bonuses, etc.
Whilst the normal population have been getting wage rises in the low per cents, these fat cats have had their awards increased in the order of tens of per cents.
The situation has become so bad that MPs have become desperate that they are losing out in the pay race and demanded a huge increase.

Update: Veritas, I posted my request because I couldn't find confirmation of the news story the questioner states has been published. Sorry I don't share your high regard for the Hate Mail.

How about the Tories starting to reduce benefits by 5% a year? Within a few years, the toerags would realise which way the wind was blowing and they would be fighting to get jobs! (...and 15-year-old girls would suddenly discover how contraception works!).
