OK, fergie, black eyed peas, and creed, i agree completely (creed> for GOD sakes, if your gonna be a christian rock band, own it, don't pretend to be some grunge influnced band to get airplay) hell, i'll even give you 3 doors down and smashing pumpkins, and reluctantly i'd give you RHCP and Alanis (although i think originality says alot for them).....but stain'd? and STP!?!? you have seriously underestimated the artistic talent and amount of emotional expression in thier music, i'd be willing to argue that aaron lewis' and scott weiland's lyrical ability racks right up there with kurt cobain, please don't get so carried away this question almost gave me a heart attack

While this music may not appeal to you, this does not make it bad music. Actually, when looking at some of the above mentioned artists from a theory standpoint, they have outstanding musical talent (STP uses chords that fit but are extremely uncommon, Flea is a great bass player, etc.) Culture also plays a huge part in what music one will enjoy. Where I have been raised, the "bad music" is popular and I enjoy it. But your tastes may be different. I myself hate certain musical stylings, but I cannot say they are bad music based on my tastes.

I beg to differ on Smashing Pumpkins.

Its called diversity....different peoplr have different tastes in music.

Since your trashing other people's favorite bands, I'd like to know what your favorite bands are, I'd guarentee, someone around here would say YOU have bad taste in music.

You're question amuses me, see I think some of those bands are really good. I also probably believe that some of the stuff you listen to is "BAD" music.

"Good" and "Bad" is all a matter of opinion. Those artists you mentioned are popular for a reason, people consider them to be good. Just because you don't doesn't make them "bad".

Next time, think before ask a stupid question.

Because to some people, that's not bad music. Everyone has different tastes, and I'm sure some people would call the music you listen to "bad." It's all a matter of taste.
