My boss thinks is gross but after the first pot, I just put another scoop on and make another. I never saw anything wrong with it. I don't do it a second time. What's your take on the situation?

I thought you were talking about using them on plants for fertilizer (which you CAN do,, AFTER you dump your second helping of coffee on them.)

P/S Just don't tell your boss you're doing it any more--shhhh.

The water then has to filter through the new scoops of coffee as well as the old, wet, stuck together and compacted old coffee thus you are actually compromising the flavor.

Reusing coffee grounds might work to keep slugs out of a garden quite effectively, but reusing them in the coffee machine a 2nd time round does affect the quality of the coffee brewed.

That's what we do at home, and my husband hasn't complained. After that I sometimes put them on the compost pile and use them for mulch in my yard. Talk about recycling.
