I thought you were talking about using them on plants for fertilizer (which you CAN do,, AFTER you dump your second helping of coffee on them.)

The water then has to filter through the new scoops of coffee as well as the old, wet, stuck together and compacted old coffee thus you are actually compromising the flavor.
Reusing coffee grounds might work to keep slugs out of a garden quite effectively, but reusing them in the coffee machine a 2nd time round does affect the quality of the coffee brewed.

That's what we do at home, and my husband hasn't complained. After that I sometimes put them on the compost pile and use them for mulch in my yard. Talk about recycling.

No, no, no, its not good. Its like they say, dont drink old coffee. Coffee goes bad real fast. You also cant re use coffee gounds. Its just not good. Once used, theyre done. Dont do it. Its bad for you.*
