With the war crimes that Bush has committed coupled with his crimes against the constitution and combined with the complicity of the Democrats and the major media in these crimes, can U.S. democracy survive this deterioration of our key institutions if Bush is not impeached and imprisoned; or will the ruling elite resort to full-blown, police-state fascism to control the public at a time when the needs and desires of that ruling elite run contrary to those of the general public?

Good question. IMO, no it can't. Why? Because he has broken his oath to protect the Constitution, and that is what our Democracy lives on. If Bush gets away with all that he has done, then it will prove that the system is broken and that there isn't the checks and balanced that are supposed to be in place to prevent such things from occurring.

And to any of those who are wanting to say that the congress VOTED to go to war so they are just as responsible are wrong because of the fact that Congress got the fabricated LIES that Bushco, Chaney, and Rummy created about the yellow cake in Africa, which is WHY Congress voted the way that they did. Congress did NOT know that this was a lie, unlike Bush did.

Oh, Brian, it is too sad to think that you can really believe that the U.S. will not survive if President Bush is not impeached. It can only poorly be argued that the efforts in Iraq are designed to combat terrorism and/or terrorists. Perhaps the motivation and argument used to become involved in Iraq was flawed and ill-conceived. However, I doubt that many people who enjoy and understand liberty and freedom do not believe the world is better off without Saddam. President Bush's actions may not sit well with you, but there are arguments that most presidents, at least from one perspective or another, should be impeached. One does not have to dig too deeply in the past to find any number of issues or decisions made by past presidents that were questionable. Even the late, great, Democrat Franklin Delano Roosevelt, made decisions based on knowledge that he knew, or should have known, would undoubtedly lead us into
World War II, that if they had been known earlier may have lead to the same type of question.

Take hope, with elections soon coming perhaps a Democrat will be elected to the office of President and then your worries can really begin.

primary liberal, performing fiscally irresponsibly. this could be a solid occasion on why liberals continually prefer to enhance taxes. they only won't be able to handle the money they have. as a replace of having the Representatives and their group doing actual artwork, they might somewhat have them waste their time (and taxpayer money) sifting with the aid of a bunch of junk that may not in any respect see the residing house floor. a number of those accusations happened some years in the past. With the attitude in Washington, you've gotten thought that a minimum of one Democrat might have positioned forth a decision to question Bush. whether it would have been shot down, i might think of it would have been huge information. yet, because it rather is, there is not any perplexing evidence that Bush knowingly and willingly violated any regulations. basically a bunch of hypothesis. And a large ol' handful of hypothesis nevertheless won't even purchase you a cup of coffee! And no, i'm no longer a Bush supporter. I voted for him in 2000, yet found out my mistake and did no longer repeat it in 2004. yet I do have my feet planted firmly able called "fact", in assessment to the liberals who stay in on no account-Neverland.

What a straw man!

In fact since there has been no law broken let alone anything impeachable having occurred, IF your silly 'impeachment' notion occurred, THEN US Democracy would NOT have survived.

It ain't gunna happen, move on. Forward, that is.

I'm only answering the first question for time's sake: Yes, democracy will survive.

Clinton WAS impeached (lying under oath and obstructing justice), and democracy continued to survive. Bush was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Reagan was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Carter was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Ford was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Nixon was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Johnson was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Kennedy was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Eisenhower was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Truman was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Roosevelt was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Hoover was not impeached and democracy continued to survive.
And the list goes on to Johnson who WAS impeached and democracy continued to survive.
Lincoln was not impeached and democracy faltered for four years, but was restored and continues to survive.

You're completely out of touch.

Before he can be impeached you have to be able to provide proof that he actually broke a law.

And in case you have not figured this out - disagreeing with your political opinions is not illegal.

I doubt he'll be impeached.

There's only two more years, and with a democratic-run house and Senate, our government will thankfully stop growing at leaps and bounds. Just sit back and relax a little bit, and vote for someone other than a democrat or republican.
