Your baby will let you know when if he is still hungry.

If he is okay for two to three hours after each feeding, then he is getting enough... Remember that a newborns stomach is only about the size of his fist so you don't want to over feed him resulting in a very upset stomach making the baby miserable.. You should realize a change in his eating behavior, such as not satisfied after the feeding or not resting as long after a feeding, this would be a sign to add a bit more to the bottle start with 1/2 oz more at a time..

My daughter did the same in the beginning...she did 3 oz of food, 3 hours of sleep. It was like clockwork. I would say that if he polishes off the 2 oz easily, increase by an extra oz.

Try 3 oz for the next couple of feedings. If he can't handle that then just stay at the 3 oz for a bit till he eats that easily and then go up another oz. Does that make sense?

all babys are diffrent.
I have 2 little girls and this is how I did it.
we started with 3 Ozs of corse at first they didnt finish it but once they got to the point were they were finishing it we put more in the bottle.

If yours is finishing the bottle add more to it. They will stop eating when they are full.
If there is some left dont worry about it.
Babys know when they are hungry and they know when they are done.

Good luck, I know alot of parents freak out over if there baby is eating enough its very common.

Let your baby tell you. Unlike grownups, babies know when to stop eating. :-) If he sucks down that 2 oz. and wants to keep sucking on the bottle, then he probably would like some more. Then go up to 3 oz. As long as your baby is gaining weight, you're doing good.

Normally newborns to 2 to3 months, can consumed around 2 to 3 ounces per feeding.Your giving him enough. If he is hungry before feeding time then I think you better give him more.

You'll know when you bump the amount up! Baby will still be hungry and fussy after you've fed him if he needs more! You could try to give him 4oz and see how much he takes, he'll only take what he needs... then you wont have to worry so much!

Good luck :)
