Landlord can't look into problem until April. We are spending money buying bottle water. We also bathe in this water. We have young children. I am concern for all our health. For what we are paying we should be able to enjoy a glass of water. We are unsure what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

It all depends on the state you live in. I would encourage you to look up the Landlord Tenant laws in your state.

Below are Federal laws that will assist you.

Housing codes were established to ensure that residential rental units were habitable at the time of rental and during the tenancy. Depending on the state, housing code violations may lead to administrative action or to the tenant being allowed to withhold rent. The habitability of a residential rental unit is also ensured by warranties of habitability which are prescribed by common and/or statutory law. See § 2.104 of the URLTA (http://www.law.upenn.edu/bll/ulc/fnact99/1970s/urlta72.htm). A breach of the warranty of habitability or a covenant within the lease may constitute constructive eviction, allow the tenant to withhold rent, repair the problem and deduct the cost from the rent, or recover damages. See URLTA § § 4.101 & 4.104 & 4.105

It is very important for you to document all of your interactions with your landlord in a notebook just for this purpose. Make a summary of what has happened so far and then keep track of each conversation you have with the landlord.
There are water testing kits available at some local hardware stores.
Good Luck.

Whoa people, we are talking well water here, not city water. If you are not used to it, it will taste bad and it does have a different smell. Well water is subject to extra iron and other minerals in the water. Buy a water filter for drinking purposes. Even with the extra iron in it, it will not hurt you to bathe in it. Actually well water is better for you than city water, it has minerals in it. City water is processed with additives.
When I left our farm, I thought city water was atrocious. I gradually got used to it. Now when I go up north to visit and have a glass of well water, I have to brace myself for the taste. To me, after years of city water, well water tastes horrible.
You can also boil it, then put it in jugs in the fridge. That also helps with the taste until you get used to it.
It will not hurt you.

Call the state DNR tell them and get them out to do water sample testing, with the results they should be able to give you a reason to terminate the lease.
